April, 2008: Ping Fu, President and CEO inducted into the 2008 Business Leader magazine Hall of Fame Impact Business Leaders. 2008 Hall of Fame Impact Business Leaders are top Leaders who are making an impact in their industries and the Triangle community.
December 2007: Geomagic among top 200 companies in the world chosen as finalists for Red Herring Global 100 award.The award recognizes top private technology companies in the world.
September 2007: Ping Fu, President and CEO awarded the Bernie Goldhirsch Award for Courage. The Goldhirsch Award is named after Inc. magazine's late founder Bernie Goldhirsh.
November 3, 2006: Geomagic Honored as a 2006 Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 Company. Geomagic won a 2006 Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 Award for being one of the fastest growing private companies in the Triangle area of North Carolina. The award marks the third time that Geomagic has received the honor.
June 22, 2006: Council for Entrepreneurial Development Award. Geomagic Receives CED Technology of the Year Award. The Technology of the Year award is given to an individual or company that has unveiled the most innovative product or technology during the previous year. This new product or technology fills a market need and has promising current or future commercialization prospects.
May 22, 2006: Geomagic Selected as a Red Herring 100 North America Winner. Geomagic was selected as a winner of the Red Herring 100 North America. The award recognizes the top 100 privately held companies in North America that are leading the technology business in innovation.
November 21, 2005: NCTA names Geomagic mid-size company of year. Geomagic has been named mid-size company of the year by the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA).
November 15, 2005: Ping Fu, Inc. magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year. Ping Fu, chairman, president and CEO of Geomagic, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by Inc. magazine, the leading publication for American entrepreneurs.
October 19, 2005: Geomagic earns Deloitte 500 ranking for third straight year. Geomagic was named a winner in the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 awards. It is the third consecutive year that Geomagic has won the award.

December 22, 2003: National Science Foundation SBIR Award. Computer-aided geometric modeling research focused on functional decomposition, a new method for creating a CAD surface structure from polygon models. (Phase I)
December 22, 2003: National Science Foundation SBIR Award. Award for researching new ways of detecting and quantifying “slippability” – a common problem encountered when there are no features to stop two pieces of scan data from gliding over one another. (Phase I)
December 1, 2003: National Science Foundation SBIR Award. Awarded for researching the use of Morse Theory in reverse engineering. Morse Theory is about a century old and has been used to gain insight into difficult mathematical questions. In the computing world, it has helped researchers find discrete structure in continuous, smooth data. (Phase I)
November 21, 2003: NCEITA private company of the year for 2003. The North Carolina Electronics & Information Technologies Association 21 Awards are the oldest and most prestigious IT awards in North Carolina. NCEITA recognized Geomagic as the private company of the year for 2003.
